Music - Eastern Mennonite University












Music Major Concentrations: Music Education, Music Performance, Church Music, and Interdisciplinary Studies 

Minors: Music and Church Music 

EMU is a little Christian human sciences school settled in the delightful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. A four year certification in liberal arts in music from EMU plans graduates for work in music instruction, in execution, in master's level college, in chapel music, and in other music-related callings. 

Our music project isn't about relentless rivalry… it's about building a group through music. 

5:20 To start with year understudy Reed Meyer recorded his unique melody "Miles" while interning at Alive Studios, found only two squares from the EMU grounds. The clasp highlights Reed on vocals, Jon Bishop on guitar, and Bruce Cypress on drums. 

Performing staff and understudies 

The office has a to a great degree dynamic performing workforce, on grounds and away who likewise take a stab at greatness in classroom and studio instructing. There are seven full-time music workforce, a shifting number of low maintenance staff, around 20-30 majors, and a much bigger number of understudies who are included in the outfits and in private study in the office. 

Presentations and shows 

We support more than 50 presentations and shows yearly, including understudy outfit shows, senior and junior presentations, twelve presentations, workforce presentations, preliminary project occasions, and the Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival. Every fall the music office organizes a celebratory show, performed by understudies and late graduate
