Program Description 


The Literature and Language division offers a mixed bag of courses in piece, exploratory writing, specialized and business composing, and writing that test understudies to peruse and compose basically with consideration regarding crowd, reason, and Edited American English. Understudies work on exploring, assessing, incorporating, and reporting source data from verbal, visual, and interactive media writings to bolster and propel their own points of view. To extend their written work aptitudes, understudies can join the Writers Unlimited Club, through which they can workshop their own fiction and true to life composing with other personnel, staff, and understudy essayists, and in addition go to territory plays and writer addresses and compose for the Grayson understudy daily paper, The Viking. For those understudies who meet the enrollment necessities, Sigma Kappa Delta, the national English honor society for two-year universities, offers open acknowledgment of their scholarly accomplishment. 

Speakers of Other Languages Learning English 


Grayson College offers two alternatives for understudies who talk different dialects to learn English. The ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes are accessible through the Adult Basic Education program, and the Intensive English Program is offered through our International Students division.
